Researchers make car parts out of coconuts

A team at Baylor University has made trunk liners, floorboards and car door interior covers using fibers from the outer husks of coconuts, replacing the synthetic polyester fibers typically used in composite materials.

- Our family started a business in 1997 and after all these years of hard work it is starting to take off. Even in this recession we are actually growing. However, when we grow/add inventory the government (CA & Fed.) taxes us 23% on this growth because it is viewed a profit.
Would the fallout from failure to reach a U.S. deficit agreement be as dire as Americans have been warned?

- Our family owns a very small corporation. We pay between 23% and 36% on any profit we make (federal and CA state). When we try to grow and add some inventory we are taxed on the increased inventory as profit. Personally our family members make so little that we qualify for government aid.

- It is interesting that Mexico does not recognize a right to bear arms yet it is the country where the drug cartels are terrorizing the citizens. Rather than trying to make us like them and limiting our right to bear arms maybe they should realize that armed law abiding citizens brings stability.
